I turned 40, I'm having a baby and starting a business…not my idea of the quintessential kick off to the next chapter of my life. This story starts with an amazing husband of 14 years, a 6-year-old daughter and an 8-year-old son.
The kids are at an age that inadvertently gifts me with an extra hour of sleep on Sunday morning. They’re independent, self-motivators who enjoy family bike rides, cooking in the kitchen and playing sports. There is no baby gate around the pool and fragile wedding gifts have made their way back on to shelves and tables throughout the house.
Clearly, this is all about to change as we return to coffee table bumpers, child safety locks and sleepless nights. Oh well. Best laid plans, right? Believe it or not, I’ll take it. As an only child I grew up knowing that I wanted a big family. I longed for the family dinners, dynamics and memories. The one idyllic memory that I neglected to figure out was how to get three kids out the door for school on time. I guess you just do it.
So come on my journey…let’s launch this business and have a baby. I’m an honest girl – one who will share her beauty secrets, admit she ate Ben & Jerry’s for dinner last night and tell you to take the butterfly clips out of your hair.
Nothing worth having is easy, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be fun and you can’t learn something from it. Tinge Daily™ started almost a year ago. Carrie Bradshaw I am not. BUT, I am a hard working mother, wife, friend and businesswoman who loves fashion and sunshine. I strive to see the good in people, but blow up when someone lets me down (I need to work on that one). I’ll get in the trenches with you. As a follower or lover of Tinge Daily™, you’ll soon see what mean. This company is transparent – my inspiration, missteps and successes are all on the table for sharing.
